Hello, Everyone!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Briggette Calhoun and I working in the housing department at Wayne State University.

I am 57 years old and starting a new career after being a social worker in foster care system.  I
worked with special needs children under the age of three.  I received my masters in Educational Psychology in December 2016.   I really love my life and the wonderful family and friends that are in it.

I am looking forward to the new way of teaching online.

  3. Hi Briggette,

I am happy to hear that you are reiventing yourself, that is great! I have also worked in foster care, so I understand when you say you wanted/needed a change.

  4. I know several people who do social work and/or work in foster care. You all deserve way more credit and resources than you're provided with. My wife and I just entered the domestic adoption pool, so we've begun to become familiar with foster care as well.
